Pascal Cherel has worked as a specialist in cancer treatment centers since 1989 and has been head of department since 2006.
His medical work as a specialist is in medical imaging with a focus on oncology (scans, MRI), particularly senology (mammography, echography, MRI and interventional imaging). He also teaches on graduate and postgraduate courses and is involved in scientific work (conference presentations, publications, supervision of theses and dissertations).
Dr. Cherel has been a member of the SOFMIS (French Society of Mastology and Breast Imaging) board and scientific committee (2005–2012), represented SOFMIS within the Federation of Interventional Radiology as part of the French Society of Radiology (2005–2011), and is a member of the scientific advisory board for the breast pathology course at Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines University, Paris-Île-de-France-Ouest Medical Campus, Institut Curie, Saint-Cloud. He has also served on the board of directors of SIFEM (French Society of Women’s Imaging) (2013–2016), and cancer screening organization ADK92 (since 2012).
Dr. Cherel is a member of the French Society of Radiology (SFR), the French Society of Women’s Imaging (SIFEM), the European Society of Radiology (ESR), and the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI).
