Exploiting State of the Art Imaging

Our scientific projects require a tight complementarity between different cell biological methods, with the cellular imaging at different scales as central piece of our research. Over the years, we have developed and exploited different electron microscopical methods by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), like conventional EM after chemical fixation or quick physical immobilization by High Pressure Freezing (HPF), the immunogold labeling on ultrathin cryosections, or the electron tomography. We are actively involved in combining optical microscopy with electron microscopy, the so called Correlative Light Electron Microscopy (CLEM). Such expertise conducted to the establishment of multiple collaborations in France and abroad.
