Eric Nicolas

Eric Nicolas has been a member of the Executive Board of Institut Curie since May 25, 2024. In accordance with Article 4.2 of the statutes of the Institute, he has been appointed by the Supervisory Board for a period of 6 years. 

Holder of a DEA in econometrics from the Sorbonne, a doctorate in economics and organizations from Paris Dauphine University, a master's degree in finance from HEC and a graduate of INSEAD, Eric Nicolas began his professional career in 1987 at the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Space, then at Société Générale. 

Recruited by Renault Credit International Bank in 1991 as Director of Strategy, he joined Renault as Vice-President (VP) Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions. Appointed successively VP - America of Nissan in 2003, Senior VP Finance and Administration for Europe in 2007, then Senior VP of Renault in 2009 in charge of corporate strategy, planning and financial control, he contributed for 20 years to the commercial and industrial development of Renault-Nissan Alliance throughout the United States, Europe, North America, Latin America, China, and Asia. 

In 2011, he joined the world of organic chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology within the FIRMENICH group. As CFO and then Director of all operations, he led several major projects such as the group's digital transformation (applied artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and cybersecurity), organizational transformation and mergers and acquisitions with integration. 

Today at the head of his own consulting company, WiseStratEdge Consulting, he supports companies in the areas of strategy, corporate governance, finance, acquisition and integration, and performance management. 

Eric Nicolas is also the founding president of the Swiss Cybersecurity Association for commercial and industrial companies.
