Structuring research programs
Institut Curie Research Center coordinates structural programs for the benefit of research units and teams. Funded mainly by the "Investissements d'avenir" programme, they help to accelerate scientific collaboration and support the emergence of new projects.
Institut Carnot Curie Cancer
Since 2011, Institut Curie is certified as “Institut Carnot Curie Cancer”. The Carnot label is a label of excellence granted to public research structures with proven, high level R&I competencies dedicated to fostering innovation with industrial partners.
LabEx DEEP
The laboratory of excellence DEEP aims to decipher the complexity of life and development of a whole organism, from the germ line, the biology of stems cells, up to the transitions between normal and disease states.
LabEx Cell(n)Scale
The laboratory of excellence LabEx Cell(n) Scale aims to leverage physical and chemical tools and concepts to answer key questions about the functions and dynamics of cells and tissues.
LabEx DCBIOL
The laboratory of excellence LabEx DCBIOL focuses on the study of dendritic cell biology.
PSL-Qlife
PSL-Qlife brings together scientists from different fields in order to support and develop research and innovation for quantitative biology.
SIRIC
SIRIC is a national translational research label awarded by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). Institut Curie was labeled in 2011, 2018 and 2023. SIRICs are multidisciplinary research sites where different research dimensions are united (fundamental, clinical, public health, epidemiology, human and social sciences) and where the critical mass of doctors, patients, researchers, are committed to the constraints – notably competitiveness and quality – of translational research.
Some research teams of Institut Curie Research Center also participate in other LabExs: LabEx IPGG, LabEx Charmmat.
Institut Curie’s major programs
The Research Center is also involved in major scientific and medical programs of Institut Curie in partnership with national and international players in the healthcare and research sectors, as:
- The IHU (Institut hospitalo-universitaire) Institut des Cancers des Femmes
- The programs Recherche Hospitalo-Universitaires (RHU) Cassiopeia and EpCART
- The Programmes et Equipements Prioritaires de Recherche (PEPR) Cell-ID and MED-OOC
- The platform CellAction (Cell therapy Acceleration and Innovation)
