Labels and certifications
Institut Curie's excellence, in both research and care, is recognized in France and internationally by the award of various labels and accreditations. These represent independent recognition by external bodies of the expertise and commitment of the institute's teams, as well as encouragement and a framework for going even further.
International scope
- Comprehensive Cancer Center accreditation since 2018: this international accreditation, awarded by the OECI (Organisation European Cancer Institute), recognizes Institut Curie as an expert oncology center. It contributes to the reinforcement of multidisciplinarity, a hallmark of the institute, in two directions: more interaction between scientific disciplines and closer links with the hospital community, for the benefit of the research-care continuum.
- HRS4R HR Excellence in Research label: awarded in 2018 by the European Commission, this label is based on the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, with several objectives - to improve the quality of human resources practices, the working conditions of teacher-researchers and researchers, and to enhance the attractiveness of these professions.
- Member of the European Reference Network (ERN), dedicated to pooling expertise and resources for rare cancers: Euracan, Paedcan, EuroBloodNet and Genturis.
In France
- Since 2022, the Hospital Group has been certified with “High Quality of Care” accreditation with distinction from the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS). This certification confirms Institut Curie's ongoing commitment to improving the quality of care and safety for the benefit of patients and staff alike.
- Carnot Curie Cancer label since 2011: this label of excellence dedicated to public research organizations recognizes Institut Curie's high level of research and innovation. Its mission is to foster interactions with industrial partners, through the funding of innovative projects, the exchange of expertise and know-how, and cross-disciplinary projects, for the benefit of tomorrow's oncology.
- Early-stage center (CLIP²) accredited by INCa (Institut National du Cancer), for early trials of new drugs.
- NF EN ISO 20387 certification for the Biological Resource Center. "This standard is aimed at Biological Resource Centers, and more broadly at all organizations involved in bio-banking for research and development. It attests to the quality of collections of biological materials and associated data", according to the AFNOR website
- NF EN ISO 15189 accreditation for medical biology. This accreditation "specifies the quality and competence requirements applicable to medical biology laboratories", according to the COFRAC website
- NF EN ISO 9001 clinical research certification. This ensures that Institut Curie meets quality management requirements. It aims to improve the satisfaction of the various stakeholders involved, and to guarantee that clinical research activities meet specified requirements.
