Manon LAUNAY

Manon Launay holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree as well as a PhD in pharmacology, with research focused on improving the safety of fluoropyrimidine-based chemotherapies.

She is currently Head of the Pharmacology Department at the Institut Curie, and her research primarily focuses on optimizing drug dosing in special populations (the very elderly, patients with renal impairment, those undergoing dialysis, individuals with obesity, etc.). More specifically, her department performs blood drug level monitoring in order to personalize and adjust dosing regimens.

For example, Manon Launay is involved in the development of home-based therapeutic drug monitoring using capillary microsampling, with the aim of contributing to personalized and adaptive cancer treatment, particularly in older adults. This work is part of the Women’s Cancer Institute, within which she is an active member of the working group dedicated to improving care pathways for older women.
