QUENTIN FOUILLEUL

Quentin Fouilleul is a PhD student in cancer biology at Université Paris-Saclay and conducts his research at Institut Curie. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, he pursued a Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Sorbonne Université, with a specialization in RNA biochemistry and genetics.

His doctoral research focuses on the study of novel RNA isoforms generated through intronic polyadenylation that are capable of encoding microproteins. He is particularly interested in their role in cancer cells and in the response to anticancer treatments. His research combines molecular and cellular biology, RNA analysis, genomics and genome-editing approaches.

His work has contributed to the identification of microprotein-coding intronic polyadenylation isoforms and to the study of their role in the response to genotoxic anticancer agents, resulting in a publication in Genome Biology in 2025. He has also contributed to research on the regulation of non-coding RNAs, published in the journal RNA.

Alongside his research activities, Quentin Fouilleul is involved in university teaching at Université Paris-Saclay, notably in the course “Exploring a Professional Environment”. He also contributes to student training and supervision and regularly presents his research at national and international scientific meetings.
