François Doz is a professor of pediatrics at Paris Descartes University, pediatrician oncologist, deputy director of clinical research, innovation and teaching in the SIREDO Oncology centre of the Curie Institute (Care, Innovation and research in Cancer of the child, adolescent and young adult) and director of the teaching of the hospital Ensemble of the Institut Curie.

He received his doctorate in medicine, his pediatric specialty and a DEA in pharmacology in Paris. He then spent two years as a researcher in the Brain Tumor Research Centre at the University of California in San Francisco.

His main research interests are pediatric neuro-oncology (including medulloblastoma), retinoblastoma, early development of new drugs and the ethics of clinical research.

He is the author of more than 220 publications referenced in Pubmed. He is co-chairman of the European Group on Retinoblastoma (http://www.eurbg.org/portal/), member of the Board of SIOPE, European branch of SIOP (https://www.siope.eu/) and member of the Committee for Clinical Trials and the executive Committee of the ITCC Consortium ( European consortium dedicated to the innovative treatment of children with cancer (http://www.itcc-consortium.org/).

He is past President of the Scientific Council of SIOP (http://siop-online.org/) and of the SFCE (French society for the fight against cancer and leukemia of the Child and Adolescent) Former President of the group cerebral tumors of SIOPE (https:// www.siope.eu/european-research-and-standards/clinical-research-council/siopecrc/european-clinical-study-groups/siope-brain-tumour-group/) and its Working Group on medulloblastoma/embryonic tumors.
