Dr. Tatiana Malherbe has been Deputy Director at the Research Center of Institut Curie since September 2019. Tatiana has a longstanding passion in communicating and promoting science and scientific research within an international context and across diverse audiences. As such, following her doctorate in Biochemisty from the University of Bern in 2002, Tatiana’s post-doctoral years at Cornell University, USA and University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland kickstarted her involvement in scientific outreach projects in the international context and among different communities. Tatiana’s expertise in developing modes of scientific visibility, interaction and accessibility has been imperative to the scientific output of the Research Center of Institut Curie since her arrival in 2013. Initially as knowledge manager of the European network of excellence EpiGeneSys, and later as scientific attaché at the management of Institut Curie’s Research Center, Tatiana has guided and facilitated the actions of researchers and ensured the promotion of science both at the international and institutional levels. As Deputy Director, Tatiana’s experience of over 20 years places her in a unique position to support all stages of monitoring projects related to the strategy of Institut Curie’s Research Center, in particular with the 19 technological platforms, all activities of the training unit, and the master plan of building renovations.
