Description

Tissue-level order, provided by anisotropic organisation of the cytoskeleton, plays a central role in coordinating forces and structures during morphogenesis. To understand tissue self-organisation, it is essential to explore large-scale couplings between such order, tissue flows and shape changes, and control by signalling pathways. Here I will discuss examples of such couplings in processes of development and regeneration.
