Description

Genetic factors participate to the onset of uveal melanoma. These genetic factors include high penetrance risk mutations, accounting for familial cases, as well as low penetrance risk variants, accounting for contrasted incidences of the disease in various human populations. I will address some of the recent progresses in both high and low penetrance risk factors, which highlight the underestimated role of these predisposing factors.
