scPRINT: pretraining a foundation model on 50 million cells allows robust zero shot abilities and network inference

Description

We present scPRINT, a large transformer model trained on 50 million scRNAseq profiles able to generate cell and gene embeddings, cell labels, denoised expression and cell specific gene networks. We show that novel architectures and training modalities can improve foundation model’s zero shot abilities. We also demonstrate that these models learn gene networks that contain known biological truth.
