Several types of breast cancer
There are two main groups of lung cancer.
Small cell lung cancers (SCLC), which are closely linked to tobacco use. These account for 15% of all lung cancers.
Non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC): these account for more than 80% of all lung cancers. They include the following:
- adenocarcinoma, currently accounting for 60% of cases
- epidermoid carcinoma, accounting for 30% of cases
- large cell carcinoma, which are more rare
Treatment of these tumors is very different and must be tailored to suit each patient.
