Institut Curie Annual Report 2023 : "excellence made in Curie"
In 2023, Institut Curie's commitment to scientific and medical research, to patients and to the fight against cancer has led to many successes.
Among the year’s highlights, the Hospital-University Institute (IHU) certification awarded to the Women’s Cancers Institute illustrates Institut Curie's multidisciplinary expertise and its determination to drive innovation in the treatment of gynecological and breast cancers. The launch of the CellAction cell therapy platform within the Paris-Saclay Cancer Cluster (PSCC) and the inauguration of the new hospital in Saint-Cloud have reinforced Institut Curie's ability to offer cutting-edge treatments to patients. It is in this same perspective that two major financing plans have been established: one of 56 million euros for radiotherapy and the other of 16 million euros in favor of technological platforms.
Also in 2023, well-being in the workplace was placed at the heart of Institut Curie's priorities. The first measures in the social project of the Curie 2030 - Hope Against Cancer strategic plan (day-care places, induction days, managerial career path) aimed at fostering personal fulfillment and cooperation between all employees have been implemented.
Finally, the loyal support of Institut Curie donors and patrons remained a constant source of inspiration. This generosity remains essential to maintaining “excellence made in Curie”. Thanks to them and to the commitment of its 3,800 researchers, doctors, caregivers, and technical and administrative staff, Institut Curie meets the challenges of research and oncology every day.
