Label Comprehensive Cancer Centre de l'OECI

The “Comprehensive Cancer Center” label of excellence has been awarded for the second time to Institut Curie as part of the renewal of the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) accreditation, for a period of 5 years.

This collective ongoing improvement approach by Institut Curie is supported by Unicancer to establish the model for cancer centers inspired by the Curie model. Its aim is to assess Institut Curie’s three missions: research, care, preservation and transmission of know-how.

The renewal of OECI accreditation represents a marker of international excellence, and is a tool for recognition of the Curie model. It pays tribute to the high quality of the organization, of the healthcare offering and of the research activity at Institut Curie. And it is through the daily commitment of the staff at Institut Curie, working each day to fight against cancer, and to fight for patients

Declares Prof. Thierry Philip, Chairman Institut Curie’s Executive Board.

The accreditation certificate has been officially awarded on Friday June 16, 2023, at the Annual General Meeting of the OECI during the “Oncology Days”.
