The 1st International Symposium of Institut Curie "From Basic Science to Cancer Research" will take place from May 15 to 17, 2024 at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris.

As a new international meeting for the scientific and medico-scientific community, this major event will bring together 700 participants (biologists, chemists, physicists, clinicians, etc.) to discuss key aspects of science, from fundamental to translational cancer research.

The International Symposium of Institut Curie will be held in the historical and prestigious setting of the Maison de la Chimie in the heart of Paris, with the participation of internationally renowned speakers such as Charles Swanton (Francis Crick Institute, UK), Edith Heard (European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Germany), and Steve Jackson (CRUK Cambridge Institute, UK).

This event will be a unique opportunity to meet and exchange insights and ideas with leading figures from the scientific community and numerous experts from various disciplines.

For its first edition, the Symposium will include four sessions dedicated to evolution, genetics, immunity, and systems biology, as well as a final session paying tribute to the "great beauty of science" in memory of Marie Curie's vision.
