Presentation
As a CNRS Senior Scientist at the Institute Curie, my research program focuses on employing computational and modeling techniques to investigate the intricate structure-function relationships of RNA molecules across diverse levels of complexity, encompassing sequence, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional representations. My research efforts are broadly organized around the following key areas: (1) RNomics, including the identification, characterization, and functional annotation of non-coding RNA genes; (2) computational enzymology, with a focus on elucidating the catalytic mechanisms of self-cleaving ribozymes through molecular dynamics simulations and quantum calculations; and (3) RNA biophysics, leveraging computational docking methods and fragment-based design approaches to model and predict RNA-protein interactions and to develop novel oligonucleotide therapeutics. This research integrates principles from bioinformatics, theoretical and computational chemistry, and computational biology to advance our understanding of RNA biology and to contribute to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
