Mounira Amor-Guéret holds a PhD in genetics (1982, University of Paris 6) and a “Doctorat d’État es-Sciences Naturelles” (1987, University of Paris 6). She is an emeritus research director at the CNRS. From December 1990 to December 2022, she was head of the “Genetic Instability and Carcinogenesis” team, which was created under a CNRS ATIPE contract. From January 2010 to December 2019, she directed the “Genotoxic Stress and Cancer” unit (UMR3348 CNRS / Institut Curie / Paris Sud-Paris Saclay University). Additionally, she was the deputy director/coordinator of the Orsay site of the Institut Curie research center for over 12 years (January 2010-March 2022). Mounira Amor-Guéret was a member of the scientific council of the Doctoral School of Oncology (ED 418, Paris-Saclay/Gustave Roussy) (2012-2022) and co-coordinator of the Cancer Cluster of Paris-Saclay University's interdisciplinary HEALTHI program (“HEALth and THerapeutic Innovation” Interdisciplinary Action) (2018-2022). She was also a member of the National Consultative Ethics Committee for Life Sciences and Health (CCNE, September 2016-February 2025), appointed by the Director General of the CNRS (Official Journal, Decree of September 27, 2016; renewal of mandate, Decree of February 3, 2021), and a member of the National Council on AIDS and Viral Hepatitis (CNS, September 2019-February 2025), appointed by the President of the CCNE (Official Journal, Decree of August 30, 2019; renewal of mandate, Decree of June 30, 2022).
