Presentation
Simon Besson-Girard is a Research Engineer and Coordinator of the Custom Single-Cell Omics (CSCO) platform at Institut Curie. The CSCO platform develops methods and offers services in plate-based single-cell omics technologies.
After training in biology, mathematical modelling and bioinformatics at Lyon 1 University, Simon continued his work in single-cell transcriptomics at RIKEN (Yokohama, Japan) before joining Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, where he completed his Ph.D. and established an integrated single-cell sequencing workflow within a service-oriented environment.
At Institut Curie, he contributes to the scientific and operational strategy of the CSCO platform, supporting research programs in genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenetics. He works in close collaboration with internal research teams, external partners and other core facilities. His role combines methodological expertise, coordination of collaborations, and the development of high-quality workflows that strengthen Curie’s multidisciplinary research efforts.
