Presentation

Dr. Toulsie Ramtohul has been a radiologist in the Department of Medical Imaging at the Institut Curie since 2021. He specializes in breast imaging and percutaneous interventional procedures.

He studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Aix-Marseille from 2008 to 2014, then was appointed as a medical resident in the Paris hospital network in 2014, where he completed his training in diagnostic and interventional imaging.

In 2021, he joined the Institut Curie as an Assistant Specialist, and in 2023 he was appointed Hospital Practitioner, working as a radiologist in the Department of Medical Imaging.

He also holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics (2018).

His research focuses on imaging-based prediction of histological response, MRI radiomics, tumor growth rate applied to lung cancer and uveal melanoma, and breast cryoablation. Alongside his clinical work, he is involved in several research projects and contributes to the Women’s Cancer Institute (IHU Institut des Cancers des Femmes) at the Institut Curie as a member of the working group dedicated to new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in surgery and interventional radiology. In this context, he leads the clinical studies CRYODESC, which aims to compare cryoablation with surgery for early luminal breast cancers, and OMICHIR, which evaluates the omission of surgery in triple-negative breast cancers achieving a complete response.
