Présentation

Dr. Bruno Buecher’s initial clinical training was in gastroenterology (Nantes University and University Hospital, postgraduate degree [DES] in hepato-gastroenterology, 1998). This was soon followed by training in oncogenetics and medical oncology (postgraduate degree [DESC] in oncology, 1999). His scientific research resulted in a PhD, awarded in 2004 (Health and Life Sciences. Discipline: Medicine. Specialty: Oncology).

Dr. Buecher initially practiced at Nantes University Hospital, followed by Brussels (Institut Jules Bordet) and Paris (Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou and Institut Curie). Since 2010, he has worked as a full-time cancer treatment center specialist at Institut Curie, Paris, based in three different departments.

Dr. Buecher is interested in all aspects of digestive oncology: identification of hereditary forms of primary cancer in the digestive tract, development of personalized monitoring plans for high-risk subjects, implementation of screening programs, diagnosis and pre-therapeutic assessment (endoscopy, echoendoscopy), and treatment. He is involved in various learned societies and national and international collaborative research projects relating to these areas.
