Presentation
Hélène Salmon's research focuses on immune cell dynamics in solid tumors and on cancer immunotherapy strategies modulating the tumor microenvironment. Her prior work shed light on the importance of the stromal extracellular matrix in the control of T cell migration in human solid tumors, and showed that the paucity of activated CD103+ dendritic cells in tumors limits checkpoint blockade efficacy. The main goals of her team's reasearch are to define the contribution of stromal cells to tumor immunity and to develop new strategies to target the stromal compartment and improve tumor response to current immunotherapies.
