Job description
Laboratory
The “Cell Biology of Mammalian Neurogenesis” team, part of UMR 144 “Cell Biology and Cancer,” is led by Alexandre Baffet. It consists of one research professor, three postdoctoral fellows, two doctoral students, two master's students, and two engineers.
The team studies the development of the human neocortex using different models, including cerebral organoids derived from human iPS cells. We focus on neural stem cells and how they generate the various cell subtypes (neurons and glial cells) that make up the neocortex. To this end, we develop and use advanced imaging methods, including real-time imaging on living tissue, to track dividing neural
stem cells.
