Presentation

My research projects focus on the identification of gene networks involved in the progression of bladder cancer, as well as on the study of the mechanisms that govern their (in)activation in the tumor. By integrating genomic data (whole exome, epigenomics) and transcriptomic data (spatial and single-cell) from patients and experimental models, the characterization of these gene networks allows me to:

1- Identify mutational signatures linked to the environmental exposures of patients (smoking, occupational exposures).
2- Characterize tumor heterogeneity and the clonal subpopulations present within a single tumor.
3- Investigate the role of the tumor microenvironment, specifically Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts (CAFs), in the progression of basal tumors.
