Presentation
As an assistant professor in cell biology at Sorbonne Université, I shuttle between the lab and Jussieu, where most my teaching activities take place. My resarch focuses on the subcellular architecture of the secretory pathway in radial glial cells (RGCs), the neural stem cell of the cerebral cortex, which are responsible for the generation of most neurons and glial cells during development. I'm particularly interested in understanding how the components of the extracellular matrix (ECM) can be locally modified (e.g. glycosylated) and secreted from the basal part of RGCs despite their extremely elongated and polarised features.
