Presentation

Nicolas Servant is the co-director of the bioinformatics core facility of Institut Curie. After a master’s degree in bioinformatics, he joined Institut Curie in 2005 as an engineer in charge of developing bioinformatics and data analysis. In 2012, he became the manager of a bioinformatics team on sequencing data analysis, and since 2016 he leads the bioinformatics and biostatistics data analysis team of the core facility. In 2017, Nicolas Servant has defended a PhD in bioinformatics and epigenetics under the supervision of Dr. Emmanuel Barillot and Pr. Edith Heard. In his PhD work, he developed new computational strategies to analyse chromosome conformation data. He thereby developed strong skills in cancer biology, epigenetics, and bioinformatics analysis of high-throughput data. Nicolas Servant’s bioinformatics and biostatistics data analysis team provides support to researchers and clinicians of Institut Curie for the analysis of their projects, developing new bioinformatics and biostatistics strategies, supporting new technologies (single-cell, long-reads) and organizing bioinformatics training. His team has strong expertise in sequencing data analysis including DNA-seq, RNA-seq and epigenetics (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, Hi-C, etc.). Since 2014, his team is also highly involved in the precision medicine program of Institut Curie by providing support both to NGS-based diagnosis and clinical trials.
