Dr. Caroline Malhaire practices clinically in the Department of Medical Imaging at the Institut Curie, where she specializes in breast and gynecological imaging. In parallel, she develops a physician-researcher activity within the Translational Imaging in Oncology Laboratory (LITO, INSERM U1288).

She holds a Master’s degree (M2) in Methodology and Statistics Applied to Biomedical Research from Université Paris-Saclay and defended a PhD in Physics and Medical Imaging (Université Paris-Saclay) in 2025. Her thesis focused on optimizing MRI prediction of complete response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer, integrating semantic, radiomic, and deep-learning-based segmentation approaches. She is authorized to present her Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), scheduled for 2026.

Her work focuses on diagnostic and predictive imaging biomarkers, radiomics, and the integration of artificial intelligence in cancer screening and tumor response assessment.

Within the Women’s Cancer Institute (IHU Institut des Cancers des Femmes), she co-leads the working group on new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in surgery and interventional radiology.

Dr. Malhaire is a member of the extended board of the Société d’Imagerie de la Femme (SIFEM), the Société Française de Radiologie (SFR), and the EORTC Imaging Group, serving as liaison with the Breast Cancer Group. She actively participates in multidisciplinary breast imaging meetings, breast imaging–pathology conferences, gynecology meetings at the Institut Curie, as well as regional referral meetings for rare gynecological malignancies.
