Uveal melanoma research
Patient care and uveal melanoma research are closely linked. It is necessary to work together on:Â
- the genetic causes of the disease, in particular predisposition genesÂ
- the fight against metastatic relapse, one of the main risks of the diseaseÂ
- developing biomarkers to assess the efficacy of immunotherapies such as tebentafusp or anti-PD1Â
- the design of new immunotherapy strategies for patients insensitive to tebentafuspÂ
- participation in major international clinical trialsÂ
- development of new radiological criteria for treatment efficacyÂ
- or the development of therapeutic vaccines, notably on the trail of a mutation likely to make melanomas more visible to the immune system.
