The objective of the Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.

The research group of Dr. Eliane Piaggio (Inserm U932, Paris, France, https://institut-curie.org/team/piaggio) is seeking a degree-qualified computational scientist. The bioinformatician will be dedicated to work on several projects in the frame of fundamental and translational immunology research, including neoantigen epitope prediction, CD8+ and CD4+ Tconv and Treg cell biology and anti-tumor responses. Candidate will join our Team-bioinformatician hub of around 5 people and will benefit from Institut Curie bioinformatics platform.

 

Missions

Tasks will include analysis of large datasets generated from single cell RNAseq, TCRseq, and ATACseq, spatial transcriptomics, whole exome sequencing, bulk expression studies, and AI development and application.

Training and experience required

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, mathematics, computer sciences, immunology, or related field. She/he should have demonstrated success in a previous research experience in immunology-applied bioinformatics and statistics testified by publications.

 

Skills required

Knowledge in approaches for high-throughput data analysis, statistical modeling, and classification, as well as basic understanding of immunology are required. Previous experience with single cell RNASeq / TCRSeq will be a plus.

Strong motivation, autonomy and ability to quickly and effectively adapt to new projects will be essential.

Good proficiency in English is mandatory.

Contract information

Type of contract: Fixed-term contract / COD

Starting date:  as soon as possible

Duration: 18 to 36 months

Working time: full time

Remuneration: according to the current grids and dependent on experience
