Doctor Alain Fourquet is a Radiation Oncologist at the Curie Institute in Paris. He served as Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology until March 2017. His clinical activity focuses on the management of breast cancer patients with radiotherapy.
His main clinical and translational research interests involve breast cancer in young women, ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast (DCIS), and the concurrent delivery of radiotherapy and systemic treatments in breast cancer. He was the main investigator of studies in breast cancer radiotherapy, and co-coordinator of several multicentric international trials. He is the coordinating investigator of a prospective multicentric trial in DCIS, due to start on the summer of 2018.
In 2010, Dr. Fourquet served as Chairman of the 7th EBCC (European Breast Cancer Conference). He served as member of various Programme and/or Scientific Committees of international congresses.
Until May 2018, Dr. Fourquet has served as Member of the Board of Administrators at the Curie Institute.
He is the author or co-author of more than 260 publications in peer-reviewed journals, as well as didactic reviews and book chapters.
