Présentation

Anne Brédart is a doctor of medical psychology. She carries out research in the field of psycho-oncology. Her focus is on the psychological and interpersonal impact of cancer and cancer treatments, the psychological factors that hinder or promote psychological adaptation to the disease and its treatment, and the development and evaluation of psychosocial interventions in oncology.

She coordinates and participates in research conducted within the Quality of Life Group within the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), aimed at the development and international validation of quality of life and satisfaction with cancer care questionnaires.

She has carried out her psycho-oncology research at various oncology centers in Brussels, Milan, and—since 2000—in Institut Curie in Paris, where she coordinates a research team looking at patients' difficulties and supportive care needs, as well as ways to improve doctor-patient communication in oncology.
