An intensive care anesthesiologist, a former resident and chief resident in Paris public hospitals, Dr Aurore Marcou practices in the Anesthesia, ICU and Pain Management department at Institut Curie as a specialist practitioner. She is co-director of the outpatient surgery unit.
She is a medical advisor in hypnosis, and runs a medical hypnosis clinic in addition to her work in anesthesiology. Her research current focuses on the use of hypnosis as an anesthetic technique (hypnosedation) and on the impact of repeated general anesthesia in young cancer patients.
