Présentation

Irene is from Rome, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and her master's degree in Genetics and Molecular biology from La Sapienza University. In 2019, she was the recipient of a scholarship from the Doctoral School of Molecular Medicine (La Sapienza, University of Rome) to develop a PhD project on the identification of novel Hedgehog (HH) antagonists and the study of their pharmacological efficacy in the treatment of HH-dependent tumors. She then was awarded a fellowship through the Erasmus + Program and joined the laboratory in January 2022 for 6 months. Her work aims at the characterization of ubiquitinating and deubiquitinating enzymes involved in medulloblastoma tumorigenesis.
