LAURE STICKEL

My initial training was in Mechanical and Materials Science, which I complemented with a Master's degree in Tissue Engineering. I am now combining these two aspects for my PhD project: the design of an ear-on-a-chip that would allow to control the ionic environment of the mammalian cochlear hair cells, while performing mechanical stimulation. The project is co-directed by Pascal Martin, who specialises in the physics of hearing, and Stéphanie Descroix, who has expertise in microfluidics.
