
VIRGINIE FOURCHOTTE

Dr. Virginie Fourchotte studied at the University of Burgundy Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and became a Paris hospitals resident in 1994.
After completing her internship in obstetrics and gynecology, she was appointed chief resident at Robert Debré Hospital with Paris VII University in 2001.
Dr. Fourchotte ultimately decided to focus on gynecological and breast cancer surgery, becoming chief resident at Institut Gustave Roussy (2003–2005) before joining Institut Curie, initially as a specialist assistant (2005) and then as a specialist practitioner (2007).
She spent one year as a researcher with the National Surgical Advanced Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) in Pittsburgh, USA, in 2005.
She is now coordinator of the interdisciplinary gynecological cancer group at Institut Curie.
