Zhi-Qian graduated from National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan) with a B.S. in Life Science focusing on biophysics. During his master training in biophysics at the Physics Department of National Central University (Taiwan), he studied the microrheology of the cell cortex with atomic force microscopy. After obtaining the M.S. degree, he worked as a research assistant at Academia Sinica (Taiwan) to investigate the neuronal migration with fluorescence correlation spectroscopy and traction force microscopy. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student exploring how caveolin assists sphingomyelin transportation from trans Golgi network to plasma membrane, co-advised by Prof. Patricia Bassereau and Prof. Christophe Lamaze.
