Gynecological cancer treatments
The treatment of gynecological cancers is often based on a multimodal treatment: surgery, but also chemotherapy, immunotherapy or drug therapy, depending on the extent, characteristics, and stage of the cancer, as well as the risks of relapse. Radiotherapy is also a central treatment in the case of cervical and uterine cancers. It can involve external radiotherapy and/or Curietherapy. In all cases, the course of therapeutic care is established at a multidisciplinary consultation meeting (MCM).Â
Management of these pathologies requires advanced expertise in the following fields:Â
- surgery (complex multi-organ surgery, minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy intra-peritoleal CHIP hyperthermia, fertility preservation, etc.)Â
- radiotherapy (Curietherapy, conformal radiotherapy in order to limit toxicities, stereotaxies, etc.)Â
- medical oncology (coordinated management (radio-chemotherapy), access to innovative therapies as part of clinical trials or early access)Â
- anatomopathology and molecular biology (precise characterization of rare tumors in particular (pathgyn network), molecular biology, theranostic analyzes).
