Presentation
Hi! I’m Aniruddh, a Postdoc trained in experimental biophysics I recently completed my PhD exploring how cells behave like liquid crystals. I started out as a mechanical engineer, but over time found myself drawn to the fascinating world of experimental physics; especially the challenges of understanding how living systems self-organize and interact with their surroundings. My work blends soft matter, active matter, and cell mechanics, and I’ve had the chance to explore a variety of systems, from active polymers made of liquid crystal droplets to programmable tissue folding using cell sheets. I really enjoy working at the interface of disciplines and thinking about how physical principles can help explain complex biological behavior.
