Colorectal cancer care at Institut Curie

After seeing you in consultation and having received the results of the additional tests, the referring physician will present your file with your agreement at a multidisciplinary team meeting (MDT). This is a collegial discussion that takes place in the presence of all the specialists who are likely to be involved in the care: surgeons, medical oncologists, radiotherapists, radiologists, pathologists, etc. If necessary, other specialists and healthcare professionals can intervene. Together, they put together the treatment plan that is adapted to each specific case. It will then be presented to you during consultation. 

There is also a "molecular MDT" that looks for molecular alterations in the cells of certain patients' tumors and that is therefore able to offer them a clinical trial or precision medicine targeting the detected anomaly.
