Laboratory
The position is open as a collaboration between the team of Cecile Alanio (Clinical Immunology and Immunomonitoring lab), CellAction (Cell Therapy Platform led by Dr Marion Alcantara and Dr Sebastian Amigorena), and the lab of Joshua Waterfall (Integrative Functional Cancer Genomics). The successful candidate will work in a strong bioinformatics environment in close collaboration with wet-lab biologists and clinicians.
Missions
CAR T cell therapies are tremendously effective in hematological malignancies. Yet, their application to solid tumors is complicated, due to inherent obstacles that need to be overcome. Our work is to launch preclinical and postclinical work on CAR T cells to improve cellular therapies for the treatment of patients with solid tumors.
We seek a computational scientist interested in cellular therapy to join a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and immunologists applying cutting-edge single cell multi-omics approaches to characterize cell therapies and immune interactions. This includes molecular characterization (RNAseq, chromatin profiling) of clinically annotated patient tumor samples and mice tumors, as well as scRNA/TCRseq of the immune microenvironment before and after cellular therapies.
Description of the activities
- Analysis of transcriptomic datasets generated in house (scRNA-Seq, bulk RNASeq)
- Analysis of single cell epigenomics datasets (scATAC-Seq, CHIP-Seq)
- Database exploration (GTEx, TCGA)
- Graphical representation of the scientific results
Training and experience required
- We expect a candidate with a PhD in computational genomics or an M2 with equivalent research experience.
- Experience in management and analysis of genome-scale data (RNAseq, scRNAseq)
- Experience in use of bioinformatics and bio-statistics tools (R, python)
- Experience with pipeline management tools (Nextflow, snakemake, kedro)
- Strong background in computational genomics applied to either oncology or immunology, preferably both
Skills required
- Skill to work on large computing clusters
- Skill to work independently and in collaboration with biologists
- Presentation and communication of results
- Good knowledge of English both spoken and written
All our opportunities are open to people with disabilities
